I have been with my husband for nine years- only married for about a year and a half. Before we married, we both did dumb things, he moved out twice- had affairs- we both made mistakes. When we got married, it seemed to all change until I made a mistake. I had an affair with someone I had known from highschool. I did this because I wasn't getting enough of my emotional needs met from my husband. I told him about the affair and he said he forgave me. I moved out with my children ( 3 are mine- one is ours together) to get the kids into a better school district.
My husband and I had agreed that he would find us a place to live in the same area I was moving to and then we would resume living together as a family. After the move, he was over constantly. But, about three weeks later, he told me that he wanted a divorce. ( I had found out that he had been seeing someone else) What bothers me is that he had told me he loved me five days before asking for the divorce.
I have been trying everything in my power to get back together with him, but he's so angry that he won't budge. He goes out drinking almost every night- rarely calls or sees our son- and always blames me for everything. I love this man with all my heart and soul. What can I do now? There has to be something. (The last two times he walked out he was drinking all of the time, too. But after about a month or two- he realized that he loved me and begged to come home) Is this fixable? I really need some help. Please feel free to emailo me at Angella0304@hotmail.com.

Sorry that you and your H are faced with all of this. Read what is here on site, lots of valuable information and tools for helping keep a marriage together and repairing and rebuilding it into what you have always dreamed it might become.

I'll be honest here...the amount of betrayals which have occurred in your marriage needs to be addressed by a professional. Both you and your H need to find out why you have choosen the path of betrayals too many times.

Find a GOOD pro-marriage counselor and began working on what each of you can do to grow as individuals and as a couple.

Your marriage CAN be saved...IF...the two of you are willing to do the hard work to save it. It's not over until it's over. If you can't get your H into MC then still see about some individual counseling for yourself and possibly some for your children.

Read over Plan A and see if you feel you can follow it. It can be a very good plan...IF...you can make real changes in yourself...ones which last.

Good Luck!
