you pull wind pants on over your pj's???

I just run around in my night shirt and sweatpants until the sun is setting --- or my HUGE bath towel thingy (unless some one comes to the door - then I run).

Working from home is fun - the wardrobe is so comfy!!!

Hugs,

Hi C,

Just checking in, and glad to hear that surgery went well. HoFS told me that it was planned for early this month. Chill for a while and recover. Big {{{Cerri}}}

I continue to pray for "the best possible outcome."

I trust that outcome will come to pass.

Lots of us care what happens to you - kind of like you care what happens to others.

So the real question is, "You go hiking in your jammies??"

Hi C,

Hi, P

Chill for a while and recover.

I'm sorry - that doesn't register in my brain. I am a very bad patient. My grandmother drove the hospital and nursing home staff insane trying (and succeeding!) to escape from her bed and chair and eventually restraints. I think I have the same genetic make up.

SS

You have no idea how much it means to me have you say that. It's our human nature to pray for what we want with our limited view of things. If we could have looked into a crystal ball 5 or 10 years ago we might have prayed that this never happen. But I already see good coming from it.

Ditto with lots of "bad things" that come into our lives. Had I not been incredibly stupid and pigheaded and not had an A and left my M I wouldn't be what I'm doing today. That's not to say it justifies it, it doesn't, nothing does. But like all difficult things and painful events there is always an opportunity for great things in the struggle.

SYMC is literally going to change the face of how marriags are healed. What a blessing to birth that out of pain and suffering.

And - on a more mundane level - this bout with being sliced and diced and confined to bed has been the catalyst for finally seriously addressing our DS issues.... and my work obsessiveness, but we won't go there.

I think, Cerri, the phrase - give THANKS in ALL things - has meaning everywhere.

You're still in my prayers --- Blessings,

Howdy Cerri -

WWCD - that's pretty cool!

This is a neat thread. We're all glad you're feeling better, and know that despite what nastiness may come your way you'll always do your best to make the world a nicer place. Thanks!

I do have one question: what the heck are "wind pants"? I'm sorry, but the image that immediately popped into my mind was, uh ..... well, something sorta like Spinal Tap's album, "Break Like the Wind".

Oh, and that book on the effects of porn on marriage praised porn's ability to help people form more meaningful interpersonal relationships, correct? Okay, okay - just kidding. Don't smack me, please!!

Anyway, glad you're back and hitting the ground running, and NO MORE SICKNESS on your part. The world needs as many people like you as it can get.

Peace,
Doofus

Hi C,
(Is this a greeting, or a fruit drink comercial?)

Some days...............

And - on a more mundane level - this bout with being sliced and diced and confined to bed has been the catalyst for finally seriously addressing our DS issues.... and my work obsessiveness, but we won't go there.

Asking for the "best possible outcome" can mean a lot of things, and sometimes I grin when I say it, but I keep it to that.

Like many here that care about how you, and your family are doing, I sometimes worry - but I have faith. To me, God is not an abstract - and I get feeings like you will be helped and protected, and taken care of. It's a very good feeling and I trust it is accurate.

I believe you will address the "work obsessiveness" with your family, especially your H. That's good enough, but make sure they approve the end result. We'll just have to live with it.

When times are tough, and you have down days, remember that lots of us care about you - you are not all by your self in the world.
