Hi everyone and Happy Holidays!
I just got back from the mall (yeah, I'm a last minute shopper). Saw my soon to be ex coming out of a jewelry store. My heart sank like the Titanic. He was cordial. I asked him what he was doing?? (dumb huh?) He just said he was picking up something he had engraved. UGGGHH. I hate this. He never bought me any type of jewelry in all the years we were married! Guess Mia is more deserving than I was. I'm so sick and tired of feeling pathetic. Really. I hate this down in the dumps blues thing. I want it to end. Wish I knew how to block out this past year and just move on....
Sorry about being a bummer on Xmas Eve.

Oh sweetie, I know... and you know as well as I do that only one thing will heal this: TIME. Ick. But you are much stronger than you think, YOU ARE!
Mia is no better than you. She is a human being, that's all. And sadly, your H loves her. It hurts like hell, but... you will go on, and you will take care of yourself, and dearest Tired Lady, you will fall in love one day with someone who will give you the love you desire and deserve.
You have had a horrible year... don't discount that. It's okay to hurt and wallow a bit... but, my dear friend, you will have to one day pick yourself up and GO FORWARD... you deserve that!
Try to find something little to praise about yourself, your children, your life. You can do this!! TL - I feel such sympathy for you. Such a bad time for a reminder of the terrible year that is just now ending. Sheryl is right, at some point you have to pick up and move on. The right person will come along and push these awful memories to the back burner where they belong, and give you the opportunity to demonstrate the good things you have learned thru all of this.
Don't feel like you're being a bummer. It's only natural to have the feelings you have. As my own marriage is ending, the two very emotions of which you speak, hurt and anger are really starting to manifest themselves in me. I held them in for so long because I knew they were destructive for a reconciliation, but as that hope as died, those emotions are starting to surface. It's only natural and it will pass. For things like this time is the only healer.
I wish you nothing but the best in the upcoming year and you will get it because you deserve it!!!
--DeWayne--

Tired Lady,
Seeing him that way must have been terrible. Thinking about anything "they" share must be horrible. However, someday, somehow, their deeds will catch up to them. That little piece of engraved whatever-he-bought has about as much worth as the empty promises they make to each other. Right now it just a race to see who sucks whom dry first. Meee-meee-meee-a is not worth your anguish. YOU had the best years with your STBex, before he tossed away whatever integrity he had. She's the booby prize now.
