...Cuz' it's totin' a ROCK!!!! [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
H gave me a 3 carat diamond wedding band...the one I had picked out a few months ago! I figured he had gotten me a new ring, but didn't know if he would get me that one or a less expensive one.
I was so touched I cried as I hugged him. What touched my heart even more were the tears I saw in his eyes--the first signs of any real emotion other than anger that I've seen him express toward me in a long time.
No, he didn't do the proposal of remarriage thing, but I don't want that from him until he's ready and really wants to do it. I still don't believe he's been totally honest with me, so I can't go through with a recommitment until I'm sure that I have the whole truth and complete honesty from him. So, I guess I'm kinda glad he didn't "propose", because it would have been a big lovebuster to have to put him off on it. So, I will wear my ring proudly, and believe that it means that he really does love me the way I need him to. And, first thing Monday morning, I'm gonna wave it in Cafe Woman's face and "blind" her....SO THERE!!!!! [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
This is a big turnaround from the way things were for us last Christmas. Oh, he got me a really nice gift for Christmas last year, but the turnaround is in the circumstances.
There is HOPE!!!!!
Merry Christmas to each and every one of you!
Love, Sweetpea

Wow...that is soooo great!
My h. gave me a wooden jewelry box (also the pearl ring I wrote about earlier) and this afternoon he said, "well, for such a nice jewelry box, it doesn't have much REAL jewelry in it"...SO I said "have at it bud!".
We both laughed, but he did say that he thought my tiny diamond studs from our dating days were "embarassingly small for the wife of someone who is doing this well in business..."
We are still in the "discussing" stages re:a recommitment...he says he wants to be sure he isn't going to hurt me again.
So I know what you mean about being glad there wasn't a re-proposal...I am still distrustful too...
Have a Merry rest of the weekend,
Liz\Pearl
------------------
"I have found the Pearl of Great Price"

[This message has been edited by POGP (edited December 25, 1999).]
