I recently found out that my husband of 12 yrs has been having an affair and it has now resulted in an pregnancy. I am in shock trying to gather information, I have read both His Needs Her Needs and Surviving and affair, both are excellent resourses, however there is no info on how to deal with the lover having the baby.

He has told me he wants to work on our marriage, however he wants a separation for 6-9 months (duration of the pregnancy....) He does not love her, however feels responsible for the unborn child (about 4 weeks pregnant.)

Any advice? I don't understand how we can work on a marriage if we are not living together and he is in contact with her, including attending Doctor appts.

Help...

Yikes - you can't work on your marriage if he is still with her. Sorry you are in this spot, but it happens a lot.

Try posting on the pregnancy/child forum. All the experts are there. By the way, welcome to marriagebuilders.
