Is their a midlife crisis for men. One day my husband told me he wasnt happy. I asked to talk about it and he told me he didnt know what was wrong. Two days later I learn theirs another woman. Someone I knew. Instead of working on our marriage he decided to move out and move her in with him. Hes been gone for 11 months. He started the divorce and then put it on hold for 30 days to work on our marriage. I dont feel he has done anything to work on our marriage, for one he still lives with the other woman. I dont know what he finds in this other woman but its like when she says jump he says how high. Why does he let her control him. Is that what I did wrong. The problems he says we have are only in his mind. I still love him and I don't know what to do. He still comes over to visit and of course he wants sex sometimes. Please help I am so confussed?

Brown:
Yes, there is such a thing as a midlife crisis.. Not sure if that is what your husband is experiencing or not. You will find that you will have a ton in common with many people on this site.. Our spouses have told us all the same things your has..
You have found a great place for help right here.. The first thing you need to do is pick up a book called surviving an affair. Many people on this site refer to the book, and it will be a great benefit to you to help you understand what affairs are all about, and what to expect. This book will also help you follow a game plan.. because you need one.. There are many people here that can help you, myself included.. Please read my post titled, Another story of Hope.. It will explain everything I have been through for the past 14 months... Many people have similar stories..
Hang in there,, you will be ok... get the book and continue to read these posts on the computer.. If you have any questions about my story or anything you need, please ask.. I will be there for you.

Welcome Brown0674 to the Marriage Builders - Infidelity Forum.
Like mickey65 said... this is the best place for you... [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
The people here represent both betrayed spouses and betrayers(waywards) alike and the occasional Other Woman/Man/Person (OP/OW/OM).
All of us are really here to try and build or rebuild our marriages... and we are trying to use principles and concepts that are espoused by Dr. Willard Harley of Marriage Builders(MB).
There is a wealth of information here at this site, starting from the Marriage Builder's Home Page.
If you're new to the ideas being presented here at MB start off with Dr. Harley's Basic Concepts.
Many of us need to start immediately working on our marriages and a sound understanding of Plan A and Plan B is crucial! Without knowing much more of your situation it is hard to know where you are at... but in general, it is recommended to start with a Plan A first... and if you truly are getting to a perilous stage of losing almost all love for you H. then go to a Plan B.
You'll see a barrage of "terms" which you might guess the meaning of... but an alternative is to look up what they mean at this site... Words like (click on them to find out):
Love Busters, Love Bank, Emotional Needs, Giver and Taker, The Policy of Joint Agreement(POJA).
You'll need to learn more about, not just marriage building... but self building too! [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] The learning isn't going to happen overnight though... look at the Articles and Infidelity Q&A.
The real learning is best aided by obtaining some of the books from the MB Bookstore... of most important for those who have affairs in progress, or soon to be, is "Surviving An Affair" by Dr. Willard Harley. This is the 'bible' for this forum.
Other books can be very useful as well... like "His Needs, Her Needs" and "Love Busters".
There will be many other good books that the MB people will recommend... take their advice... they've been around.
Most of all... you will find compassion and love here. No judging... no demeaning... no malice here!
The people here have all had their lives thrown into a whirlwind of despair, confusion, and sadness.
We've all experience gut wrenching emotions that we though could never exist, in anyone's idea of humanity.
Feelings of hatred, love, disillusionment, envy, rejection, emptiness, deep depression, and on and on...
Just the books and facts aren't going to get you through it all... not without support. That's where we come in! We care... because we know how it feels. Believe it... You are not alone! [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Come to this forum to vent... to cry... to laugh (a little)... to express your feelings... to advise others... or just to get away!
You're probably going through H*!! right now... as you have in the last 11 months... don't go it alone... remember... you are not alone! [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
There is never any guarantee to save all marriages... life doesn't work that way, unfortunately.
We can, and do guarantee, to give you help... to build back many vital aspects of your life and sanity.
