I'm 43 WW is 44, in late April I found out she had a one night stand at a business conference in another city last Nov. I confronted her with a printed email she had saved which said what happened there should stay there. We've been married for 17 years with 11 year old and 5 year old daughters. WW says all they did was kiss, but words like her "magical moment" and his "guilty and ashamed" haunt me. I have checked emails and cell phone records and believe they have not had contact since I confronted her. She said she loves me and made a mistake. She says she will do anything to keep us together. We have made date nights and talked about things. I talk with her rather than the other things I use to do. We are going out of town for a romantic weekend (no kids) in a romantic town this Friday. Now the bad news. She has the same "must go" business conference coming up in September. I have school and meetings that prevent me from going, too. OM will be there. She knows I am upset and said I will have to trust her. I think I can, but need to post to see if you guys can give me support in this. Thanks

ET,
Welcome to the forum. There isn't a job or conference that is going to be as important as preserving your marriage. Please read about the POJA. If she is really interested in doing all that she can to save the marriage....than POJAing this issue is a good test of that. My guess, is you aren't going to be enthusiastic about this. She needs to show her willingness to protect you by rescheduling it, sending someone else, going to a different one....brainstorm some options. Going with the OM there when you aren't....is NOT an option. Please don't tell me she HAS to go....there are other ways to do this without jeopardizing your marriage. Stay firm, but do not LB.
