None of the local bookstores have a copy of Dobson's Love Must Be Tough book (and when I found out how much it costs I can't afford it anyway LOL)

But here's a summary of the LMBT method that I found online:

LOL - yea the local library does have a copy... Maybe if I can get them to forgive my overdue library fines? I could almost buy the book for the same amount. My sister has a copy but she just made a big move and isn't unpacked yet. A counselor told me to get the book and to read it THREE TIMES!!! I just found out the church we started going to has a library and will see if they have a copy I can read.

Dear Mere Mortal,

Here is another site, with the same article I believe. There may be some different free links.

. Love Must Be Tough, by Dr. James C. Dobson, Tyndale House, 1996

This website was recommended by Cynmanca, 35220. I was following some of his posts to see how he might be referring to the strategies. Respect, and reducing controlling strategies, and working to minimize any trapped feelings by our spouses. Dobson finds that a spouse who shuts down communication, might be doing so to avoid getting further trapped by the controlling spouse.

Have you tried any of his ideas yet? I have tried giving my wife more control, and avoiding pressuring my wife, even when I felt there was reason to pursh forward, I have just put the ball completely in her court, after I pitched my reasons for acting now.

Blessings.

ACtually, if you really can't aford it, you can get it free from FOTF.org.
Everything they have is a "Suggested Donation".
You don't HAVE to pay if you can't/don't want to.
