I have been married 10 years. I have known about my husband's lover since january.I suspect they have been carrying on for some time. She is a coworker. She lives minutes from my house. she is also married.
We have tried marriage counseloring and stopped after three months. My husband never tried to regain any feelings for me. He never stopped seeing her. I have four small children with him. I am still in love with him. I have tried everything under the sun to repair this marriage. He has resisted me every step of the way. He has lied and whenever I put pressure on him he becomes mentally cruel to me.
He is living down in the basement. However he has informed me that he wants a divorce and later down the line wants to marry his girlfriend.
what can I do? Iam desparate!

Welcome to marriagebuilders. You must start in Plan A. You can read all about it on the link in my signature line.

Also you need to notify the OW's husband what is going on. Yes, your husband will be mad, but it is necessary to shed some light on the affair.

I was notified in March by my husband's girlfriend's husband. He had taped their phone conversations and I had heard all the dirty details. Since than plan a has been in effect. My husband wants a divorce and he is so in love with his girlfriend that he wants to marry her. I am desparately trying to stop these events from happening I feel that I have no control over the situation. I love my husband but I have lossed all respect for myself. Why would I want somebody who has negated my existence. He is the father of my four young children but he has treated me with such disrespect I can't stand it. However I am obsessed in regaining his love.

It looks like it has been a few days since this post...are you doing any better?

One way to survive this nonsense is to be organized and informed. Don't let him be in control of you...seek out some assistance through a church or pastor (even if you are not a member). It is free and can even be done by phone. Knowledge is power and you need that power to be in control and organized. Your kids need to you take action...and you will feel better about this mess that is beyond your control. It sure has helped me, anyway.

Strength to you!

How about exposing them at work?
