I have emotionally abused my wife (withholding emotions, sex, conversation ) for many years, we have also had bad sex and communications were nil, we both say we love eachother and I believe that I can change and I have over the last three month ( although I do have some good qualities such as committed parent, supported our family always supported my wife in any aspirations she had, I guess thats what kept her for so many years). However she continues to say that she does not have those feelings of being in love with me. Can her love return given sufficent time for her, with my help, for her wounds to heal. Everything that I have read basically states that she can recapture those feelings. She does not believe she can, and we are discussing my moving out. We've married for 24 years, my children are older and we both truly enjoy being with each other and doing similar activities. How can she belive that our sex lives can be exciting and that she will enjoy kissing me, as she does enjoy doing everthing else with me. We have everything else in our lives that we can ask for.

I might suggest you take this over to the General Question II link. There are a lot more folks over there and you will more likely get a response.
