Hi all!
I've been laying low for a while. Dealing with a LOT of one year anniversaries. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Just got my son's hockey schedule and found out that Sunday we get to go to Bimboville.
All the years this boy has been in hockey we have never had to play anywhere near there.
Murphy's Law? I have never even been to Bimboville. Never wanted to go there.
This is where 90% of the affair took place. A true fantasy land because no one there knew that H was married. They could go anywhere they wanted and it was acceptable.
ok so here's the thing. Dr. Evil is emerging. I am on a wild roller coaster of emotions. Not much time to prepare. Not sure that sanity will win out.
I have a lot of years pre affair that I owe her for. At this point in time I'd like nothing better than to go down there to that small prairie town and very quietly inform a few people that the bimbo is into married men. Better keep an eye on your H's. I don't know a soul there and no one would know me. But I'm just the kind of person that quite often strikes up that kind of conversation with a perfect stranger.
Put it this way. The bimbo didn't have to be uncomfortable for one second. She could go anywhere with my H and it wouldn't even put a speck of dirt on her reputation. I'd like nothing better than to know I helped her be uncomfortable. Just uncomfortable maybe a little ashamed or embarrased. Is that too much to ask? Nothing nasty. Just a little bit of truth spread around her country - with a big smile on my face.
Just rambling. I'm a bit of a mess over this. I know exactly where I was that day last year. What I was doing. I can still see the look on H's face when I surprised him on the phone with her.....
This might be too much for WS.
OK Wassy- your right on in your emotions, you have a right to them. I personally know OW's MIL and would like nothing better than to inform this nice woman what trash her son married. But what good would it really do me? Who am I to judge? Am I totally without sin to be throwing those stones? I know you understand what I am saying. What good would it do either of us to blow out about the OW when we both know it would probably just blow up in our faces.
The only thing I would do is not be afraid to be there with H. Be CALM! He is yours and she has nothing over him now......and you will show better by being the pleasant person you are and just hugging his arm and being peaceful. Know that if anyone asks questions you can say "Oh, the bimbo who thought she could take my H away????" God Bless! By the way, just wanted you to know that my ultrasound said I finally got that boy! Yahooooooooh! You could get a T-shirt that proudly proclaims "We've been married X years!" and cling to your H the entire day... [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
chick's
cONGRATULATIONS on the baby boy! From a mother of two boys, (and one who owns a dremel) I know you will love it!
My dear friend, you are a much better person than I. I am not nice. I have spent 8 years keeping my mouth shut about the bimbo. Being the good guy. Letting her play her games.
There's just too much in here.
H won't be with me. I'm going to have to do this on my own. He will be working. Ihave had to do pretty much everything on my own and this time I'm at the end of the rope.
My rules now. It's time for her to know I exist. I'm not sure how H is going to react when he finds out I will be going there. He will probably want to tie me up so he doesn't have to post bail.
See I hated her long before she slept with him. Years before she slept with him. But I was always the good guy. They killed that part of me.
Hope I don't disappoint you but I think I've hit my limit. This week has been really tough - then to find this out. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Tears comin'. Darn I gotta find a plug for those.
Lor
Like the T-shirt idea. I'm sure I have one that's appropriate.
More Later.

[This message has been edited by wasstubborn (edited January 03, 2000).]

WS,
Tie a KNOT in the end of that rope and make some plans for you and your H when you get home from the game. Give all your attention to your Sons game.
You are passed that now, you sent the letter, this is between you and her, not the whole town. If you could accomplish something that big, I'd say go for it, LOL, but since you can't....you would be the one that would look bad, not her. We can't seem to do anything to them but keep our men. That is the ulimate!
You know all this, I know how you feel..........It's good to vent. Even if you could spread the word, nothing would ever be enough. I have my dreams and wants for the OW too, won't happen, but it's fun to think about it, that way, I'm taking it out on her not my H. Ouch wassy, I can feel the temptation from here.In the begining I had dreams of exposing her for what she was in a couple of places where she came up as clean as an angel.
However, you know me. I don't really feel like descending all the way to her level, I'm fine in a level a bit higher, thank you.The view is nicer.
I don't know wassy, creating a bit of discomfort here and there might sound nice, but ...doesn't h have to go there for work too? wouldn't it be creating some discomfort for him too? Would that help in any way?
Maybe if it ever came in conversation you could akcnowledge "yes I am H's wife" and let them make their own conclusions, but no more than that I think. This way you'll still be coming clean.
I don't know wassy, I don't know. I can see why it is important to you, but I want you to keep in a higher level than her.
I;ll think about this one some more and I'll come back .
Kat

hi ws,
the place is going to become a reality, which is good. It will not be easy, but it was not easy taking back the lounge either! This is just another place that you are required to seize, another step in growth. When you arrive, you might be nervous, but dig deep, find your power. You are in charge of this, you should be very proud of what you have acomplished for your family.
When you need it, your power will shine thru. You are going to be just fine wassy.
Hope the boys kick butt in the game!!
(((hugs))) cl

Jimmy Buffet was going to write a song about Bimboville, but changed the name at the last minute. Just had to write that.
cl is right, it is going to be tough, but you are going to nail those demons.
You got to do what you got to do, but think about if you really need to deal with the ramifications if you get to talking. If she tries to contact you, do you really want to let her in you new life?
------------------
Faith, Hope, Love Remain,
but the greatest of these is Love.
1 Corinthians 13:13

Hi WS,
Boy, I know your feelings....we left a town to get away from the OW and what I wouldn't give to expose the prissy, self righteous, smug, holier than thou OW to all that came in contact with her....(just a little bitter, don't you think?)
Anyway, you have to rise above it and believe that somehow what "goes around, comes around" and somehow the consequences will catch up to her....Hard I know but I think if you "tell" etc. you will look like a very vindictive, bitter wife and like Kat said on her level.....I've seen wives do this and it's not pretty, even though I agreed with them it really made the wife look bad.....I try to keep that in mind when I'm tempted....btw , it didn't prevent me from telling a person "accidently"(I said I thought they knew already ) who might have a big mouth!!!!( I guess I'm a little passive aggressive)....just be careful and don't stoop to her level........Lu

I'm thinking that she could not have spent so much time there without exposing herself for herself.
I'm betting people there know her for what she is....
------------------
Faith, Hope, Love Remain,
but the greatest of these is Love.
1 Corinthians 13:13

I'm Baackk!
Thanks all for your replies. I have done some major thinking. Couldn't get back cause I had a minor emergencey with the oldest.
AH
You are right - nothing will ever be enough!
I will tie the knot for now though.
Kat
This is a tough one. You know this isn't round one with the bimbo. I took the higher road years ago and the only thing I accomplished was to make it easy for her to ply her wares with my H. I suffered for many years because of that. I don't make the same mistakes twice.
The only reason my H would ever have to make a trip to that place is to see the bimbo. If he's doing that then I think he deserves to be uncomfortable.
cl
you're right. Now I'm over the shock I know I will take the place as mine. Alone. Even if h could come along I wouldn't let him. It would be much harder for him than me.
FHL
I'm not concerned with any possible ramifications. Funny though - your second post. I had come to that conclusion late last night. I mean let's be real here. The bimbo has no female friends. There is really nothing I could say that would be astounding news to anyone. So you are absolutely right. They know what she is - unless they are niave men who fall for her Needy little bimbo act.
Lu
Thanks for the thoughts. I'm keeping everything in mind. Don't worry. I won't stoop to her level. But if the opportunity presents itself.... well I'm not likely to pass it up. Not this time.
Yep "accidentally" could definitly work. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Wex
You have ESP or what?
I thought of you when this situation presented itself. I was pretty certain what you're reaction would be. Thanks for making me smile for the first time since the news. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
I guess I have myself together a little more today. I will have to do some major tongue biting. But Boy I'm going to look good in Bimboland. The pleasantest parent around. That is what I do at hockey most of the time anyway. Big smile, enjoy myself, meet new people....and if the opportunity presents itself... I'll keep you informed. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]

Boy WS...you sure are a strong person! I still can't get myself to go to the town where OW lives. My eye doctor's office is across the street from her apartment! I have to go to the eye doctor next month but am contemplating finding another doc.
Everyone here has some cool advice and suggestions. I don't have much to add except for support, prayers & hugs...

NoTrust
The bimbo brings out the Irish in me. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
I'm not that strong at all but I spent way too many years allowing her to invade my life. When I get my Irish up....wellll...kill them with kindness.
perhaps I'll give her a call and invite her to the rink for a coffee. That would do her in!
Sheba
meant to e-mail you but can't remember if I did. I really am having a problem with the fog decending.
my oldest wrecked his knee playing soccer again. He has moved out so I had to take him his leg brace, medication, make sure he goes to the doctor. Will probably be making another trip to town to take him a proper ice/heat pack. He just moved out a month ago and they don't even have Tylenol in their house.
How nice - my baby needs his mom occasionally.
A little worried that he might lose his job if he can't walk. Keep your fingers crossed.
