You are entitled to the BAH (housing money) while you two are still married. Depending on his rank, the amount will vary. I know you said your husband is in the navy. Mine is in the Marines. From my understanding, the entire military is strict on infedelity. They can get there rank taken away from them and would have to start completely over, or depending on the circumstances they could get court marshalled (thrown out). So if I was you I'd be careful about talking to his chief or any other person of the military about the specifics of why you guys are seperated. Because if his rank gets taken, then the less money you will recieve for housing. And if he gets kicked out, it'll be worse. the military DOES NOT care about the family as they so proclaim. When you go to base legal, I'd suggest saying that you guys are parting because of irreconcillable differences. You need every dime you can get right now for you and your children. And also if he gets in trouble, though he well deserves it, not only will it hurt you BOTH financially, but ofcourse he will see this as a lovebuster and be upset with you. Amanda, I hope everything starts to look up for you. You don't deserve to be treated like this. Do what you have to do to make sure that your children and you are taken care of, but like I said before, if people don't need to know the specifics, I wouldn't tell them, especially the military. Try to do all your venting to your close friends and also here. I am here if you ever need to talk. You know that. ANd you are always in my prayers! Take care.....<P>------------------<BR>"If you can learn from the mistakes of others, you won't have to make them youself."<P>
