I haven't been posting too much lately, and now I am saying goodbye.
In counseling last night, my husband said he is very uncomfortable with my posting 'the details of our life' to strangers.
Although I don't see any harm in posting, since we are anonymous, I told him if he wanted me to stop that I would, out of respect for his wishes. He said, 'I'd appreciate that. I don't think that you have to leave the Bible study forum, I just wish you wouldn't share intimate details with strangers."
So I am saying goodbye.
We are doing quite well. He has resolved to tell OW he wants no more contact IF she contacts him again. He told the counselor that carrying a family picture "Makes the choice a no-brainer", and that "it is such a relief to stop lying, I don't have to struggle to keep my story straight".
So, I tentatively say that we will be a success story in the years to come.
I love you all, and will check on your posts periodically to see how you are doing.
Naturally, I will continue to pray for you.
hugs,
Liz\Pearl of Great Price\alias
------------------
"I have found the Pearl of Great Price"

[This message has been edited by POGP (edited January 07, 2000).]

Liz, as the others have said, I completely understand why you need to leave. Someday I hope your husband feels how important this place was for you to have and wants to see for himself how much comfort there is in sharing this pain. When he is feeling stronger in your relationship, I even hope he would come here and share himself with those who may be here in the future ... it is so hard for some of us to have the faith that our spouses will eventually turn around unless we see it happen.
We will miss you ... I'll look in over at the Bible Study forum every so often and see how you're doing. Be well and happy.
------------------
terri
I believe in miracles...
