H called around 6PM to let me know he will be over for dinner, but he will call when he is on his way as he still has a number of things to finish up at work.
7, 8 , 9, 10:00PM and no 2nd call or H walking through the door. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
I blew out the candles around the house put his dinner in the frig and sat down to wallow in my own self pitty. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
The phone rings at 11:00PM. It's him! He's about 15 minutes away. I tell him it is so late I don't want him to come over as he must be really exhausted. He insists! Says he *needs* to see me, talk to me, and he is coming over if it is all right with me. Of course I say yes. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
He greets me with a kiss and sits down to enjoy his meal. We talk during dinner and he shows me his new cell phone. Now this *IS* a big deal. The cell phone he has had for years has been in OW's name and she has paid the bill all along. Well he has cancelled that service and has purchased a phone and wireless service with the same carrier I use. He went on to tell me how we can now get on the family plan and his, our daughters, and my phones will all be under the same billing. He also tells me the OW went balistic when she got his latest cell phone bill as it had oodles of long distance calls to me while I was in LA and countless calls to my house. He told me he lied to her and told her our daughter had his phone and was calling her BF while he was out of town.(This one made me LOL as daughter's BF has never even left this state in his 17 years of life) She still has no idea he paid for me and the youngest to go to Ca. She even believed him when he told her it was our daughter calling the airlines to find out what time her BF was flying in, and that was the night he picked us up from the airport when she thought he was at the movies with our children. He said she bought his entire story but is very supicious especially since they are no longer sleeping togther. Infact he said in the past she never checked the calls on the bill before she paid it so he says he knows she knows something is up but he can't leave her yet for a number of reasons, that I do understand. He said he even told her he didn't need any grief from her and to back off. Looks like she is doing the Love Busting now. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
He was very affectionate. We sat and talked so naturally. Like a married couple does at the end of a normal day.
A bit after 12:00 midnight he said he needed to go. As he put his shoes on at the front door he mumbled something and I asked him what he said. He told me "this sucks". I told him I agree. He didn't need to explain, he meant it sucked to have to leave. I then told himn I know how hard this all is on him and I am here for him to help in any way I can. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
He kissed me several times and told me how much he loves me. I said goodbye and he turned and said good night and so long. He said he never wanted to say goodbye to me . [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
He said he'd call me tomorrow and be over tomorrow night. That remains to be seen. He has had a problem keeping promises like that, with the new bussiness just starting up and all.
It all seems so surreal. A few months ago I thought I was on my way to the big D. Now it looks more like I may be on my way to celebrating my 22nd wedding anniversary in 6 months. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
I'll try not to get my hopes up too high but it's hard not to, with the way he now acting towards me.
I'll keep my.......
Fingers Crossed
