This is to all of you/us!!!
I would like to make this request of everyone here, myself and Nicole included. We have all experienced the negative trend these past weeks, and I think it needs to stop. I am as guilty( if not more) as the next "poster". I am requesting that everyone here for the period of ONE WEEK, post only POSITIVE messages. These can include things that your spouse did for you. Something you did for them. What cute stories your children told you. Why you love your spouse. If your spouse is not at home, then send them a love letter, that we can all read here. Tell us why you enjoy the little things in your everyday life. Give us all anything that is a positive and/or affirming.
If nothing else...just say hi to everyone. I think this is going to do a lot to help the Moral of this site. Maybe everyone will realize that even throughout the bad things that happen there can be peace and love and joy. We don't always live in darkness even though we like to feel this way when things are not going our way. Please try to do this!!! We all need some uplifting here.
I will make my e-mail available to all of you that have to scream and yell. Just please don't do it here. If you don't know me, that's fine...yell at my e-mail anyway. If you can't bring yourself to send it to me, then send it via e-mail to another "poster" that you do know. Again, just don't do it here. Please, please, please, please.

I will also ask that if you read this post...please tell everyone that you post to, to come and read this one. I think if we all try, we can do it. One week....is it really all that hard?? Remember this site is all about healing and growth, not hurting and stagnancy.
I will occaisionally send this to the top for re-submission.
Let me start this one week "retreat" from the negativity....
Dear Nicole,
In your eyes, I see the world. The first time that I saw you, you were just a clown( I'll let you explain that one to all of the readers). When I looked a second time, you were a young woman like I had never met. You were(and still are) so full of joy and peace, that it radiated from your spirit. All of those around you felt instantly as if they knew you. You have not changed except in experience. You are a loving and caring wife, mother and friend. When we first met, you had never in your life, seen a shooting star. As a confirmation from above, that you and I were meant to be together for our time on this earth, a bright star shot across the night sky on our first kiss. It was as if there was a force holding back this thing of beauty from you, until you found your true "soulmate". Once you and I had united, the stars celebrated a joining of two souls that could only have been matched in heaven. I love you with all my heart, and I will always strive to make this love, first and foremost in my life. You could not be more perfect in your love and understanding. When you return to heaven, I am sure that God himself will greet you at the gate. I Love You, and you will always be my "1 Soulmate".
Love.....Me [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]

------------------
" I broke my promise to be faithful...so I make a new promise to be truthful and loving." Take care in the things you do and say. Be sure that they are loving and caring...not hurtful and neglecting. Arik

OOHHH Arik - that was very nice. Did you get that book yet???
OK, I'll TRY to be positive this week, but look, that's really hard for the newbies. That pain is unbelievably awful.
How about we'll do our best, I'm feeling pretty good these days (I have NO idea WHY though!) and we'll try to keep our responses really encouraging too?
Ya know What? I really LIKE this side of you!! (I care about that other Arik, too, but he's no fun at all [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] !!)
Talk to you later.
Lori

What a beautiful letter Arik. It brouht tears to my eyes.
I agree with you about this site. We do need to remind ourselves that even though things aren't all that great right now, there is still some good that's going on. Thanks for the reminder.
------------------
Lots of love,
Viki

Arik,
That shooting star had meant so much to me and does to this day. In some ways I wasn't sure if you remembered that it was my 'first'.
You have always been such a pillar of strength to me. You had been through so much in your life before I had met you that I was sure I seemed naive and inexperienced to you. You have grown in so many ways.
When I see you look at our children and strive to give them the acceptance and love that you sought from your parents it makes my heart hurt. You are such a good father to them in so many ways. I know that you would give your life to take away any pain that they might experience.
When I look in your eyes I see the man that is commited to our marriage and to me. I see such love and hope for our future together. I know that we will get through this.
We are such different people but in our differences I believe we compliment each other. Where I am weak you are so strong and where you are weak I am strong. You have said in the past that the fact that I was so different from you and from anybody that you had experienced is what first attracted you to me. I guess the saying that opposites attract holds true, at least for us...perhaps it is best that way.
I love you my dear and you know I always will.
From your Nikkidoll [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
------------------
Love and Prayers
Nicole

[This message has been edited by Patient Love (edited January 13, 2000).]
