Last time I heard the word "Exodus" so much it was on a Bob Marley CD. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif)
Did I miss something, folks? Was there a flame war or something? Why the exodus? I dunno, but this reminds me of that scene in the 1967 film FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD, where one of Alan Bates' sheepdogs lured all of the sheep off a cliff....

As long as people leave because they really WANT to leave, it don't bother me.
But, if anyone has been made to feel as if they HAD to leave, or if they feel they are no longer WANTED here, THEN I have a problem with it.
----------------
To All:
If you're leaving because you want to work on your marriage, or because being here is a lovebuster to your spouse. Or, if you're leaving because you're putting this chapter of your life behind you, then God speed and have a wonderful life.
If you're leaving because you feel unwanted, or because it seems like the trendy thing to do, then DON'T leave. You don't have to post here every day. I don't post here every day. But I think it's healthy to seek help where help is given -- and folks, that's HERE.
Sure, it can get a little rocky and a little peckish sometimes, but consider the emotions we're all dealing with here.
If ya need a break, take one. But, if you find this site is helpful, you're only hurting yourself if you don't come back.
That having been said, has anyone heard from Maya lately? Wondering how she's doing coping with her depression.
Maya, if you're out there, let us know how you're doing. We care about you!.
------------------
/// Lone Star * ///

Yeah...Maya. And what about facing choices? Wasn't 1/1/2000 her self-imposed deadline? And Steve and Heather...how are they doing?
You know, you get wrapped up in these stories, and want to see how they ended up!

This reminds me of a copycat syndrome. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/frown.gif)
I think everyone needs to take 2 steps back, take a deep breath and maybe a wknd off of the forum.
I have been here for 5 months now and although I don't post alot(mostly on the women's bible study forum) I don't know what I would of done if I felt I had to stop hanging around.
Recovery takes a long time, just ask me about that, if being here helps then no one has the right to question why someone is hanging around.
I'll stay here till hell freezes over if I have too! ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/shocked.gif)
Blessings to all who journey here, Taj
------------------
"Perfect love casts out fear" I John 4:18

Hi Dazed,
I think an Exodus can be a good thing (as long as they are heading in the right direction). As for me, stepping a way from here for 5 weeks helped me a lot. It's easy to get so embroiled in the lives of other people on this forum that you lose focus in resolving your own problems.
SHA

seems too meeeee, that if people really WANTED to leave, they just would. though, i do wonder if i would get the outpouring of support that some others have gotten when they say they are going? remember when 'new woman' left? and we begged her to stay?

Well, I did go back and look at the subjects for the posts of this past week, and I have to say, I didn't really see anything that suggested a mass exodus. A few long-timers are leaving, but that's happened quite a few times in the past (fighter and SHA come immediately to mind, as well as quite a few others). I always hate to see anyone go. I think we get more new people than lose old ones, though.
LWB - You'd sure get an outpouring of support and begging you to stay from ME!
SHA - You're BACK!!! A big WELCOME to you!! How ya doin, man!?
![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
Regards and blessings,
--Wex

Check out Paul's post. I thought it was directed at me, but maybe I was wrong. It's the post with the flames on the side.
![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/frown.gif)

TNT - Well, I DID check out Paul's post and felt while I was reading it that it very well could have been directed at ME! ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/rolleyes.gif) I'm guessing a lot of people probably had this reaction, since the description is so general. Are you suggesting that some people left because they felt that his post was directed at them? It's certainly possible. I'd never leave for that reason, though, even if I were certain it was me. I'd just ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/tongue.gif) him! (He's certainly speaking only for himself and not for the rest of us!)
--Wex

Don't hate me, I'm here, but trying to pull away without more pain...
anyway, I'm gonna tell you why I'm leaving (get out then, huh? ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif) ) really and truly...
I came because I betrayed. I never even considered myself having been betrayed because David never felt he betrayed me (oh, those EA's can be sneeky). I needed support and help through withdrawl. Then David needed me to be strong, and I couldn't do it without support... so I stayed through that. Of course, I fell in love with everyone here, and switched one "affair" for "another"... my affair with this forum. My H would come home late at night, and there I'd be, in front of the computer. At work (like now, for instance) I would be here because I needed something that would pull my mind away from the OM (who works here)... so much so that I wasn't doing my job well. Yes, it is nearly impossible to work with the OM, it is, but he was not nearly the distraction that this place was.
When Paul wrote his message, and I believe it was to himself, I knew he had hit the nail on the head for me. I have used this place as an excuse for everything from not taking care of me (I'll squeeze in a shower in the morning instead of a luxurious bath tonight because I must be on MB) to limiting my children (Son, why didn't you do your homework during the day, I need the computer now - and for the next two hours), to actually ignoring my children (Mom, you never sit with us anymore). Paul was SO RIGHT.
The fighting was hurtful too, especially when it's so very negative. I won't even go into all that was happening over the course of the last few days, but it was also a factor.
And then there is the problem with David. I really won't go into it, but for many reasons, I feel that there is NO WAY that we will EVER work this out unless I have some time to meditate and pray and think. And even then, I'm not sure... but at this point I believe I am through trying... but I'll never know if I spend all my time here.
I hope this at least explains my reasons for leaving...
I could not love people more who had faces... this place has been my safe haven and solice for the last six months.
I didn't expect a big fanfare when I left, and was surprised, quite honestly, but the response. I wasn't, and am not, expecting any response now, but I don't want everyone to think that it's a "groupthink" leave for me. It isn't...
Love to all
~Sheryl
