Bottom line, I live with my boyfriend who had many affairs in his previous marriage. One woman still wants him and still calls him. Do you think this is right? She claims that she is happy for him but I don't buy it--she still tells him how hard this is for her to accept they will never marry.
Please tell me, do you think they should still be friends? Even if she only calls every 2 months or so?

No they should without a doubt not be friends. She is not trying to be your boyfriends friend, she is trying to seduce him!

derby's right.
Im sure she just keeps calling, hoping to hear if he's single again, to keep herself in his mind, let him know she's available...all those things.
It's not acceptable at all.
------------------
for better or for worse, in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, till death do us part.

No, he needs to tell her not to contact him any more.
My husband had a former girlfriend who did things like this when we were dating until I told him he had to put a stop to it. In retrospect I realize how much he enjoyed the flattery and attention. Just as he enjoyed the flattery and attention of the OW many years later.
Please, give some serious thought to whether you want this relationship. I don't want to see you back here in a few years when he cheats on you.
