Are there any computer experts out there who can tell me how to do this? I have found ICQ files but when I try to open them the are coded/scrambled garbage. Is there any way I can open them to see the contents?

I'm not a computer expert, but, I have found that some files have to be compatable with a program to be readable. You might try using a different program to open the ICQ file. Do you have "write" or "notepad".

OK I am really computer illiterate here. When I double click on the file it opens it up encoded. How would I go about opening it with another program? I am on windows 98 and I do have notepad. Thanks for the reply.

I just went and looked at the program. If yours is the same as mine, open notepad, then click on search, a window will open, type in the name of the file you want to open. That should do it.
Good luck
Keo
[This message has been edited by Keosha (edited January 17, 2000).]
[This message has been edited by Keosha (edited January 17, 2000).]
