My H told me five months ago that he wanted to move out so he could get his space and expected to be back within a month or so because he knew that he would miss me and our life together. We talked endlessly about it and saw a counselor and he decided to stay. We are no longer seeing the counselor but many problems still remain.
There is a column posted under the topic of money that describes our situation very well. My H likes to go out with his friends at least a couple nights a week and spend money with any regard to a budget. Our credit card bills are going through the roof because of his behavior. He doesn't remember from week to week the fun that he just had and always needs more. I am frustrated because I am sacrificing to try to make ends meet. One of the things is that my H finished school a year and half ago so I know he is trying to have the fun that he didn't have when he was putting himself through school but where does it end? My married friends are putting money aside and buying houses, my H says he wants to but his spending makes it impossible. Now I am thinking that we should seperate. It seems like our lives are too different.

Hi abb:
Please do not get discouraged so fast. Sure easy for me to say? If it's just a money situation see credit counseling associations. Cut up the cards and have a joint account together. Both need to sign cheques. keep track of what's happening. Your H may not be willing to do this initially but he may see the benefits sooner or later? Committment to make our marriages work is the what we need. All of it is difficult. If you believe in God you may visit www.bible.ca, www.gospelcom.net. I have read recently money is the #1 marriage breaker. Good luck
