My husband (of 1 year) and I have vastly different communication styles. I believe they are, if I dare say, typical differences between men and women. He has his cave time and I have my desparate-need-to-talk time. The problem has been, however, that he rarely, if ever has a need-to-talk time. This is very difficult for me because I end up feeling alone and consequently unwilling to share any problems. I end up stuffing them away, I'm sure, to explode on a future dte. My question is how do I resolve the conflicts and problems in our marriage when my husband is emotionally unavailable? I'm hesitant to put the problems on hold because his cave time gets longer and longer and the problems seem to get harder and harder. Is this typical of a new marriage? I'm just lost as to what do to do now. Any suggestions?

I have been married for 3 years now and my wife complained that I was always distant and didnt want to communicate. I tell you what--find a good councilor because it really can help. It can open up the communication channels more then you know. He has to be reseptive to it. So go about it in a tactful way. Also I found that I suffered from depression and have been taking meds that make me feel much better.<BR>A good concilor can see that if your husband is a bit depressed. Hope that helps.
