My H moved out last week (this has been the longest week). He is coming over tonight to pick up our son and have dinner with us. I have so many emotions running through me (happy, scared, nervous). How do I act? What do I say? This is all new to me and I don't want to make any mistakes.
------------------
A.K.A.
PondVJ

viki,
I agree with heartache. Be yourself. And I should throw in that you don't want to act needy or desperate either. And don't lovebust. When he leaves, you want him feeling the warm and fuzzies. Sounds alot easier said than done, huh? ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
--andy

Vicki-
I too, agree. Be who you are. That is who your H fell for in the first place. I know it is hard, especially the way things are right now. Try to think of a 'happy time' the two of you shared. Just for the night, try to let go the Yucky things.
Good luck,
Cheryl

UPDATE:
Well my H and son just left. He did not show up until 8:30. He said after work he went to his new place and fell asleep. I was very proud of myself, I did not say anything ugly. My son and I went to Taco Bell and got dinner for the three of us. By the time we got back H was here. We had a nice dinner together. I asked about his new place, if it was starting to feel like home, he said not really. When it was time to leave, I gave my son hugs and kisses and told them to have a great time. It was so hard to see them drive away. I came back in the house and started to cry (but at least I did not do this in front of him). I don't want my sons life to be this way, week-end visits with his dad. I want to be a family again. Hopefully one day that will happen, until then, I'll keep doing what you have suggested and try to be me. Thank you so much for all the great advice, I could not have gotten through this without you.
------------------
A.K.A.
PondVJ
