I am presently seperated fom my wife of two years. She has moved out and told me she doesnt think there is any chance of reconcilliation. I have two children from another marriage and things just did not work out . My wife resents my ex-wife and any relationship I have with her. And sometimes I think she resents my children. I have asked her to got to counseling with me but she refuses saying that she just wants out. I still love her but I think feelings have been hurt and things have been done to both of us to fix this. I have tried just about everything but I only seem to make things worse. She saids that I put evryone first but her and that my kids need me. Me , I just dont understand the whole thing. I am very confused angry and sort of helpless. And she refuses to even meet me half way on sorting this out.

I'm replying mostly to get your post into play. I hope you've spent enough time on the MB site to realize that your situation is quite common (unfortunately), and that the answer to your question is, "Maybe not, if you're willing to take decisive action."<P>(I think you got ignored because you posted fairly late in the day. I usually just click on Today's Active Posts -- at a guess, I'd say I'm not the only one.)

I don't ever think it's too late unless you're dead!<p>If she won't go to counseling, then go yourself. It can still be very beneficial. Perhaps as she sees you working on your marriage, she may be open to counseling if you ask her to go to help YOU. <p>Since she has already moved, I think you have to concentrate on your kids and keeping their quality of life on an even keel. Give her some space. I promise you, being alone is as great as it seems when you feel trapped in a relationship. I think it is human nature to glamorize whatever it is that we DON'T have at the moment.<p>Maybe give her some space and try to just be a friend for a while. No pressure.
