Hi. i have a very bad problem.....
For over a year now (with many i'm sorries, and i will never do it again). my husband has aken my credit cards out of my purse (without my permision mind you), and used them on purchases of ungodly amounts and taken cash advances as well.
I have told him that we cannot afford this, as well as I don't apreciate him taking them when he has his own to use. He takes my statements out of the mail so I wont find out, and until they come up late I dont realize it. So my credit suffers.
We have been trying to get out of debt (so I thought) and he keeps doing this. On my statement this month I found out he got over 400$ in cash advances, and wouldn't tell me what for. I've asked him if he is using drugs.. "NO"..
I kicked him out a while back for it. I have asked him to get counseling (thinking it was obsessive compulsive stuff). I don't know what to do..
I have cried and cried, and felt hurt long enough. I can't take anymore
I love him and we have only been married for 2 years now, I 'm trying to take my vows seriously, but he isn't. I don't think I can handle any more. Please give me some advice......I'm wondering if separating would give him time to think and realize how serious I am.....

I saw that no one replied to your message, so I thought I'd let you know I'm saying a prayer for you. I can't give much advice as I haven't had a similar experience. It does sound like a serious problem, but I think separating should be your very last resort... it sounds like he is afraid of sharing the root of his problem with you. He is probably ashamed, and feels you may not accept him if you know the truth. Have you told him that he can confide in you no matter what, and that you will accept and help him as his friend. Are you prepared to do that? Can you help him without being judgemental? I also think counseling would be a great idea for both of you. He may be more willing to go if you don't approach it as going to get him help, but rather to help both of you. I wish you the very best. Hang in there.

Is there any other unusual behavior? I know someone who's husband has been diagnosed with Bipolar disorder. One of the traits is extravigant spending. There is lots of information on the web. You may find other characteristics that may suite or you may be able to eliminate this as a possibility.
