can a man or women in a marriage who are physically and verbally abusive change and no longer be abusive if they are trully sincere and are going to counseling and anger management courses so that this abuse will never happen again ???? people can be cured of this horrible behavior cant they ?????

All I can do is tell you from my own experience. Is this person on drugs? If they are, especially Meth, they'll never change. Whether they are or not, I think the only way of testing it is to get out, separate for awhile, then, make them prove themselves REALLY WELL before EVER thinking of going back. Good luck!<BR>

In addition, I would suggest you pick up a copy of "Boundaries" by Cloud and Townsend, read it 2x, it's great. Also, get a video copy of "What's Love Got to Do With It?", it shows the basic pattern, beat 'em up and give 'em presents, tell 'em you won't do it again, blame them for "messing you up", tell them they should fix it...etc. It'll open your eyes!
