2 years ago I screwed up my marriage by turning my back on my husband when he needed my most. No sexual relationship, just I found a friend to talk to and spend time with when I should not have. I have a history of running and being selfish which led to one night stands and when busted by my husband I lied over and over to save myself. When I stopped and faced all I had done, I tried to come clean on everything in my life, with not much good enough truth left since all had been clouded by lies. I want my husband and family back but I have left my husband in a head full of torture. I want to PROVE my willingness to change, be honest and loyal to only him forever. He has made every sacrifice to be in and keep this marriage from day one and now he needs a sacrafice from me, beyond just the truth and beyond what a "normal wife would do" that I should have been doing anyway. I dont know how to offer this so that it hurts only me and is beneficial to him. I need to atone to him but dont have the answer. Can you help? Time is short. And by the way, WHEN OFFERED THE ANSWER TO YOUR PROBLEMS, TAKE IT EVEN IF IT IS HARD, AND BELIEVE IN TRUTH!
THANKS!

Dear tazgirl701,

I'm new to this, but I think you should probably post under the Infidelity topic if you wish to get a response from those who have been or are going through what you are. There happen to be many more users logged in there too. Good luck!

Tazgirl701,
You just have to take things one day at a time doing your best to show your H that you mean what you say. My W was in a very similar predicament as you from what I can understand in how you described the things you did. And I as the H was quite like your H, hurt but wanting to resolve the marriage.

When you live a life of deceit and lies, especially to the one you committed yourself to, it takes a good while before trust can be restored. That's why it's a day by day process in doing whatever you need to do to prove yourself.
