I am at my wits end as to what to do about my husband. He was laid off 2 years ago and has not work since. I am the sole provider for the family. Fortunately, we do not have kids yet.
We had planned on moving to Costa Rica and start a business over there when he got laid off. He knows nothing about that country. However, I am not to sure about that plan; but went along with it because that was what he wanted to do. Pretty soon. things happened: My dad passed away and that move was not important to me anymore.
I wanted us to save for a future, but my husband wants to live for the moment. It is hard for us to save for a future when only one person is working. He had expected us to use a huge chuck of our savings for the move. We will be broke if we do that. I have done some research which makes me nervous about the move.
Since then, he has been accusing me of leading him on, destroying his dreams, calling me a liar. He even has a whole list of my wrongdoings. I have been trying to explain to him about saving for retirement. He just does not get it. He accuse me of not seeing the "Big Picture". What I see is the reality. I have been supporting him for 2 years, hoping that he will snap out of it. The end is not in sight. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!
