My wife and are seperated and are wanting to put things back together. I feel as though her friends are getting in the way by wanting her to go and do things with her to take her mind off of it. She moved out last thursday and we have identified some of the main problems that we have. She says that she needs time alone, and when she wants that time I am willing to give that to her, but what she ends up doing is spending times with her friends, I want her to have friends, but I also feel as thuogh her friends are going to interfere with us trying to work it out. Opinions please

Hi Kevin. I am curious as to why you would think that her friends are trying to keep you guys apart? You can't keep her away from her friends. People are going to have opinions and if she is asking them for advice or telling them what is wrong then they will open their mouth and say what they think because they care about her and don't want her to get hurt.

You were pretty vague about what problems you and your wife are having. If you want to talk about the problems the people here are very helpful.

In my case my b/f didn't want me to be with friends because he was afraid of them saying the truth about what they think of him and that they would tell me what I was too blind to see already. Well I already knew that he didn't treat me right so they weren't saying anything that I didn't already know. When someone worries that others might be trying to keep you apart then that is normally a sign of controlling behavior in my opinion. Could that be a problem you and your wife are having? If it is then you have to change that.
