My relationship is on the rocks, what started out as something wonderful has ended up causing so much grief that i finally walked out tonight. See if you can provide any insight. I know this is only one side of the story so I will try to be as honest as possible. My wife and I met while we were both married to other people. Her marriage was on the rocks and my marriage not much better. I was consumed in a career that made me a six figure income and quite frankly I was not worried too much about being married. This was my wife's 2nd failed marriage. I had been married just once. we dated approximately 18 mos before I split with my wife. I was worried about several financial things, what people would say, the whole nine yards. My wife eventually found out about our affair and filed for divorce. I moved in with my girlfriend and we eventually married. She has two children. i have no children. The problems started. I accumulated a vast amount of debt paying alimony and keeping up two households. I had to file for banckruptcy. I have still managed to purchase a very nice house in an upscale neibhorhood and provide my family with about anything they could want. I have started a successful business from the ground up and basically am back to a six figure income. My wife and I discussed it and she wanted to go back to school. she could not go to college because of haveing the kids so early in her previous marriages. I have supported her to go back to school. She has gone to Dental school. she does not have to work. Since she has gone back to school, our relationship has gotten worse. She constantly argues that she doesn't need me, and that she could make it on her own. This leads me to believe that she may be planning on leaving when she finishes school in May. we also have several problems whith the kids. Anything I say to the kids, she says I'm being *****y, but she can say the same thing in the next breath and it's supposed to be OK. I run a company almost single handed and I still try to spend a lot of time with the family and her. I do 90% of the cooking and all of the outside home maintenence. I help with cleaning and laundry occasionally but she does it for the most part. She still *****es at me all the time that I don't do enough. Anytime I ask the kids to pitch in and help, she says that I am trying to turn them into slaves. But they are 11 and 13 and I believe that they need to learn responsibility. I am, I think a very clean cut honest person from a good background and family. From what I hear about the first two husbands, they were both useless drug users who would not even hold a job, why is she being so tough on me????
