My husband admitted last week of an affair with a friend. The major complication is that the friend is a male. We have talked and discussed at length the whys and hows of the affair. While we admit we still love each other and want the marriage to work, he has gone into severe depression and is now seeing a physcologist. Meanwhile I'm trying my hardest to stay strong and haven't "burst" yet. Since seeing his psychologist he has withdrawn into himself even more. Can I trust him that he won't contact his lover? What has the phycologist said that has made him more withdrawn? - He doesn't want to share their discussions.... Is this a normal reaction? We don't have full medical insurance and am conscious of the costs and feel he needs treatment more than I do. When I'm alone I feel so depressed.

Just wanted to welcome you to MB -- You may want to post this on Just Found Out -- there seems to be little traffic here. There are many people at MB that can help you through this.
