Hi I'm new. I have a problem. I've been married for a long time (20+ years) been through the ups and downs of a marriage. It's hard, but that's not anything new to you all. Anyway here goes.

Recently we've fallen on some hard financial times. Nothing we won't recover from eventually but it's still hard. A girlfriend recently started working at a restaurant, and I applied also because she told me she was making some really good money. I got the job, just working 2 nights a week. I end up making about $150 dollars a week. It helps out alot. If not for anything else but for groceries. but it's not what she told me she was making.

My husband works for the most part pretty close to full time. The weather plays a huge part in his hours that he gets. If it's raining then no work. He does construction. The outside kind.

Where the problem comes in is that I am feeling extremely resentful of the fact that I'm working 55 hours a week and he's working 35-38. He knows of the need to get as many hours as possible but the work just isn't there. But quitting my second job right now while we have all these bills would be stupid. I can't see doing that, and "proclaim" that I'm not the kind of woman who if she could do something to help her family out would. But yet I feel resentful. I don't want to feel this way. It's way way bad for a marriage. Mostly because it starts a domino effect type thought process. I don't know how to feel not resentful. He knows of the need for some extra money yet I don't see him doing anything about it. And if I tell him of my thoughts then I will become a nag. I don't want that either. Basically I just want to be happy, not feel resentment, and do what I can right now for my family.
