It wouldn't be so bad, but I told him last time we actually had sex that we should try and do it more often, not just twice a month. He agreed at the time, of course what man wouldn't. Well 2 days ago he started his arguing early in the morning, (I don't argue back because it would only make matters worse) Then he called me a fat bi*ch. Well I still said nothing, because really I'm not fat just 6 1/2 months preg. and still fit in size 3 jeans with a round belly. Anyways I come home from work, which I work 2nd shift, and see that he's been online looking at TONS of porn sites. It wouldn't bother me if he was "horny" or whatever and was sleeping when I get in, but he's up when I get in and don't go to bed for atleast another hour or so. But never does he engage in sexual activity with me, I didn't get myself "fat" and I still have needs just like he does. Should I confront him, or just ignore the whole thing???

Nikki,
Wow when I was 6 months preg I didn't want anything to do with sex, good for you.

It sounds like your husband is going through what a lot of men go through sexually when their wife is pregnant. They can be really scared of hurting the baby, or get the idea that the baby is watching. If this is his first baby he may just be scared of the responsibilities he is going to be facing shortly.

I would definately talk to him about the Porn if it bothers you. I would also ask him to refrain from calling any names, specially fat. Maybe tell him what he thinks is fat is really his baby and it will go away shortly after birth. I think it will, it sounds like your taking really good care of yourself. You would be surprised at how many people, even women who should know better call pregnant women Fat because of ignorance.

Also, if repost your message under the emotional needs section, you'll get a lot more and better responses. I've provided a link below.

Have you been to www.babycenter.com. That's a really good site where there's chatting between pregnant women, live too. I was preg and didn't want sex. I have a six month old baby and I still don't to be honest. I feel fat and out of shape plus I'm exhausted from endless hours up with the baby - although that's starting to mellow out now. I gained 60 lbs while preg, unlike you. Some women, and the few lucky ones breeze through this, it sounds like you are one of them. I think it's true men are afraid of preg wives and of hurting the baby. Plus you are a "mother" now and that's different too. I felt wierd even thinking about sex when I was nursing and had milk spraying all over the place, plus I was a mommy. I didnt' feel very sexual and I still don't. Not sure how to fix that.

I remember how I felt about sex when my wife was preg. I didnt want it. I know it doesnt make sense but yes I was afraid of hurting the baby. We didnt have sex for almost 4 months. Alot of heavy forplay but no intercourse.

As for the name calling, That is totally out of line, and you should politely tell him so.

The porn can lead to some serious issues. I hope he realizes that it portrays women in a fashion that is unrealistic.

Remind him that your being " Fat " is going to go away. That he was also part of that occuring. I am sure his feelings will change once the baby arrives if not sooner. try including him in things having to do with the baby.
