Suse
I read you reply on another thread about the use of Zoloft and Wellbutrin. I have been on Zoloft for about two months, as well as Clonopin (which is addictive), but I will soon be tapering off of it. Was having anxiety attacks and the Zoloft doesn't kick in quick enough. Well, with the Zoloft, the only side effect I have noticed is lower sex
drive, as well as inability to have orgasm. This has not been too big of a problem right not, because my H is not living here, but I'm hoping we will work things out and he will come home, but since the sexual area was out biggest problem (his libido was much higher than mine) I don't want this to be a problem. Does the Wellbutrin help with that? And I guess it's ok to take them together? I will ask my psychiatrist on my next visit, but would appreciate some feedback. Thanks.

Hi Danner,
I'm not Suse, butI am on zoloft,I experianced those same problems when the dr. increased my dose from 50 to 100 mg, after discovering h's latest affair. I also started having tremers in my face, and hands. I just cut bact to 50 mg. and that took care of all the problems, if the dr. will at least decrease your dose, then that maybe all you need, but do talk to him first
------------------
Just call me - Deb
------------------------
The only day I can do anything about is today, yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not yet mine.

Hi, Danner,
Yup, we added the Wellbutrin to "the mix" to try to get around that dratted sexual dysfunction thing. Actually, after Prozac stopped working for me (my counselor calls it the "Prozac Poop"), I was started on *just* Wellbutrin, which helped somewhat with the depression but still left me feeling kind of edgy & irritable. So we ratcheted that down & added Zoloft. Voila! For me it's been a wonderful combination - no depression, no more trashed sex life. After a bit of "dickering around" with dosages, I'm on 150mg Wellbutrin (sustained release), and 125mg Zoloft (on 100mg Zoloft I was still having some "breakthrough" depression).
My advice is to start slow - I think a lot of docs start patients off with a normal full dose right off the bat, and a lot of people get jittery or revved feeling until their body adjusts - people mistakenly believe they're always going to feel that way & give up! Finding a good combination and/or dosages can be really frustrating - it's a bit hit-or-miss. Just be patient. It's worth it!
------------------
~suse~
Rome wasn't built in a day.
Thank you for your response Suse. I have only been on 50mg Zoloft and am doing fine (probably because of the Clonopin), but I'm going to discuss this situation with my pyschiatrist on my next visit. He actually prescribed Viagra for me to help with the sexual problems. I had heard some negative responses from other women, so I opted not to take it. My H had just left me anyway, so there was really no need at that time, but I'm hoping he will break through the thick wall he has built (he's trying to stay angry with me to allow himself to break things off easier), but I am leaving the situation in God's hands and believing that He will take care of this situation I have caused. Thanks again.
