Discovered DH reading & viewing prono newsgroups and web sites. Confronted him. Told him it totally distroyed me. It may be a turn on for him, but it was a turn off for me. Told me he was just courious. And that he hadn't done it in weeks. Not true - he had done it that very day. I told him if he choose to continue he could forget his need for Viagra. He said he wouldn't. Didn't promise with the exact words, but I took it as such. I discovered today he hasn't missed a day since our discussion (3 wks ago). We are currently in counseling, with the main bone of contention his lying, dishonesty and secretive behavior - which he continues to say "I'll try/I'm trying". Our counslor believes him, I didn't and don't. Yet session a week away. I need relief now. We're also in a very explosive mood. How do I handle discussion, what do I say so I don't start WWIII? Help!! P.S. We both share same email address - so no email replies pls. BB responses only.

Wish I had great advice for you...but, since no one smarter has answered, just wanted to say hello...There seem to be a lot of men these days with this problem, and they seem to find it very, very addictive. I'd be inclined to believe he IS trying, even if not successfully. Therefore, I'd approach him supportively and lovingly, tho making it clear I find it unacceptable.
Have you seen the www.netaddiction.com site?

Maybe I can ease your mind. My H also is addicted to porno. At the start of our marriage (2nd marriage--later in life)it was books and magazines, then rental videos, and now newsgroups. Although I disapprove and personally find it boring as well as disgusting, I never really felt that it interfered with our marital relationship. I would, however, be more concerned if he participated in chat groups which I don't think he is doing.
