Sheba, thank you for your support, it always helps.
Well, he left on Thursday, I posted here, cried a lot of tears but I received a lot of support from my children. Good News: I had my Dr. appt on friday and all the lumps they found are cysts and they think can be treated with Vitamin E. Then I had appointment with Counselor, he told me to be strong, practice tough love, well, I am and I will. So the children had already made plans to be away this weekend. Friends invited me to dinner, so I decided to clean out the garage, I even took the personalized name plate off of my car, turned the ringers off all but one phone so it would remind me not to jump for the phone, I was just not going to be available. Showered and was getting ready to leave, when my youngest came home because she had forgotten something. Well, I guess God has better plans than us humans!! The phone rings, she runs to the caller id, "it's dad!". She answers, He was surprised that she was still home. He asked for me, he started talking and the flood gates open, told him lets meet at a local restaurant and talk, we need to set up guidelines. He agreed, no anger, no yelling. Then he asked if he could "crawl back", I said "no, but you can walk".
This is a man who until recently has always stood "tall, strong, compassionate, caring, passionate and even romantic". Well, I think he is on his way back! I thank you all for your prayers and support(past, present and future). I know we still have a long way to go and I know he is feeling real bad about everything that occurred and still very concerned about how to earn back the trust and love from his family. I hope one day he realizes that his interactions with us, his honesty and his love will do that all on its own.
Me, I am excited and praying that he knows I will stand by his side as long as he is serious. We made a new commitment to each other. Well, I think we will turn into a success story. Thank you again for all your support.
LILA
