My fiance and I have 2 small children, and we are getting married on October 6, 2000. There is one constant problem though - he works nights and I work normal hours, so of course I have the children from the time I leave work, until bed. He sees us out the door in the morning and then goes back to bed. Sure he works nights, and I know he works hard, but when the weekend comes, I expect him to have patience with the kids and to let me have my own free time without any guilt trips. But lately, that is asking too much. This past weekend, he went on a camping trip from Friday to Sunday. When I called him Sunday morning to see when he would be home, he flipped out at me, accusing me of not letting him have fun with the guys. I only called because I had had a very long a tiring weekend with the kids, and I needed a break. Was that asking too much when I can't even enjoy a bath during the week because I have to deal with 2 kids, then I end up going to bed early because I am tired. Then when we do argue about these stupid things, he takes off. He would rather talk to his dead parents in a cemetary then to me. What should I do???

Hi rebcam!
One of my lovebusters was angry outbursts. My wife would get us lost on trips and I would absolutely come unglued. I'm positive I realized it was hurting her badly, but I ratioanlized it has "tit for tat". Take the time to let him know EXACTLY how it makes you feel. If my wife had told me how badly my outbursts made her feel, that she didn't do them on purpose and asked me to work with her to find a way to work the problem out together, I wouldn't be scrambling to try and save my life with the most wonderful woman in the world. Don't let the problem go un-resolved. I know it will be hard, but before you get married, you definitely need to fix this problem. I wish I had....
[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Nick
