Hi, I am new at this so be kind.I have been married to my wonderful wife for 6 1/2 years. We have 2 wonderful boys, ages 6 yrs and 18 mos. We have had alot of problems in the past that i did not see. She wanted to get counceling and i said we didn't need it. Now we have been thinking about counceling again but thought we could not afford it.She went to the crisis center here in town to see about low cost sounceling and they told her she was being abused emotionaly and mentaly. I think they are right to an extent, i am very controling of where she goes and i didnt like her friends. And i know that is wrong. She said she was moving out. I freaked out and cried and begged her not to go.I convinced her to go to her mothers house for a while.she will be gone 2 weeks this friday.I have not talked to her alot because she told me not to call. She is coming home friday to pack her stuff and move out with the boys. She says she wants a legal seperation.Ihave gone to a councelor once on my own and am going again on thursday. I asked about marriage counseling and she said no way, you have to fix your own problem first then maybe. She wont tell me she loves me and says she dont miss me. I asked her if I can stop being so controling if we could work things out she said "i cant make any promises. I offered to move out but she said no she wanted to move. I dont know what to do. I have been coming to this site for about a week and i think all the info is great.I would appreciate any advice from any one. I love her so much and i want to change but am scared she will leave anyway. I hope this is enough information for you all understand the mess i have made of my life. I truly love her and miss her and want to put my family back together. Thanks, john

I would suggest that you tell her that you are sorry that you did not go for counselling with her and that you are prepared to go
Get a minister from a nearby church straight away in as a third person qualified like him or her will be able to help intervene before things really get out of hand
It is important that you go for help soon before you lose her completely
If she will not go then you must go yourself for help
Best wishes and write to me on
kidnpuppetshow@yahoo.com if I can be of any more help
Carol prayer partner and friend
