HELLO:
I'm new to this, just starting reading the back 3 days ago. I'm trying to work my marriage out, but he will not give up any free time of his own. Even when he know how it makes me feel. He work night and I did work days, but got laid-off from my job 2 weeks ago. The problem is that when he gets off work on Friday nights, he goes to the boats with co-workers and comes home when he feels like it. Some times he doesn't even call or tell me ahead of time what he going to do.
Last night he told me ahead of time about it and I said o-kay because I did not want to think that I was trying to control him. He said that he would only stay 60 to 90 mins then come home. He also said that he would call and let me know if things changed and said that I could call him on the cell. When he came home at 4:30 a.m and never called or answered his cell phone. He got off of work at 1:00a.m, when he comes home he thinks every thing is fine and wants sex. I feel hurt and mad that he can not even think how I feel in all of this, it would be nice if he could just think about me for once and just say maybe I should go home or maybe it time to go home now and be with my wife.
He just started doing all of this 4 weeks ago.
it started on night when we were going to go out, but my child did not go to her dad's house, so I had to stay home. He got mad and went out w/out me and came home laughing at my feels and will that was it and then he lefted again and when to the bars and did not come home entil 3:30a.m.
He has been doing is own thing 3 out of 4 weekends this last month. Now he says that he needs is own time, due to the fact that I'm here and he never gets is own quit time.
During this time he takes for himself. It hurts me soo bad that the rest of the weekend is no good and we did not anything together. i get soo mad that we do not even talk. Then we try to work it out and then it starts all over again when it comes to the weekend.
HELP!! HELP!!!
I feel like I'm losing my mind.........

Hi! Sounds like you are on the right track. Hope you keep up your reading. I think if you can get him to agree to read Love Busters by Dr Harley he would likely take a hint that things need to change and that his marriage could get a whole lot more attractive. I went through a similar stage with my wife, when I came home she was unhappy, so all it seemed we did was complain abour one another, and I didn't have the first clue what to do about it so I stayed away a lot. So if you were to get the book, read the whole book, tell him that you want to have romantic love in your marriage he may look at you funny at first. But if you can get him to read the book, even 5 minutes at a time, he should get hooked. The comitments and agreements may sound strange at first but if you follow the good Drs advice you can live a VERY happy life together.
