If everyone who is interested please send their email address to mine, I can compile the lsit of willing participants.
Here is what I hope to achieve-
gather at least 40 names of donors.
Then, hopefully find about 10 families who are in need here.
Then, after the family has been verified by phone call by me, I will match up four donour people, hopefully in that area, state, province...to send a gift or two. I will create a list of what the donor family needs for their kids for Xmas, and when ready, post an anonymous list of items on the board. No names will be attached. Anyone who can get this item for a reasonable price, at cost (I know working at a drug store, I could get things dirt cheap) can send their email with item they can purchase. Then, I will forward the address of the family in need to that person, who then can send the gift directly. But, I would also like to keep our donor angels, separately, so I have about 4-5 donating per family.
All I need is some people who are in need of help this Christmas. I know there are organizations in areas to help with that, but if you are unable to get that help because you live in a rural area, or would like some extra help, please email me with your name, kids ages, day time phone number and email address.
I will only reply to posters whom I recognize (as in, have been regulars or have posted here frequently with their stories) in order to hopefully avoid bogus stories.
If there is ANYONE who needs help this holiday season please dont be ashamed to email me, and I will not share your info with anyone. I would rally like to help provide for those who are separated, mostly, but if anyone is married and in need as well, I can put you on my list.
I want all of us on MB to have a happy Xmas with no tales or posts on Dec 26th of woe.

I dont care. I just want this community to be happy-there is so much misery and dismay going on here, and I think if a small miracle can happen, it can lead the mind to searching for other little miracles as well, in their personal ives and beyond.
If this all flops on me, well, you all can;t say I didn't try, and I still will donate locally
