My fiancee and I have been together for about a year and a half, been engaged since Easter. We have always talked about getting our own place before we got married to see how well we could live together.
As it stands now we are to the point that we are fighting too much. Right now we both live with our parents, and it seems that we don't have high opinions of our in-laws. We always seem to be fighting on whose house to go to during leisure time. I also get frustrated that we never have any time alone for just the two of us to make love due to our parents always being home, and even if we are alone, she is not in the mood. I am worried that if we move out and arguments do not change then I am stuck with an apartment or house until the lease is up. What should I do?
[This message has been edited by Brian7 (edited 11-17-98).]

I would sugest to you in my view that it is very un healthy to live together before marriage. You should focus on building a stronger relationship before you get married. You want to enter a marriage feeling good about it from the start, not off on the wrong foot from the start. I would sugest becoming more independent of one another for now. You finace should be living in her place and you should have your own place for now. Living with parents or inlaws could really cause stress and tension in a relationship. You should try to get re-located. If you both find separate places to live then you could build a much stronger relationship and you would be stronger in marriage. Living together frist definitely weakens a relationship in my view. So be encourage that Jesus would rather you not live together and look to him for counsel, he can really make you see whats right!!
..........freesun............

We dont live together right now, we both live at our parents house. The problem is that when we go over to each others house the in-laws always seem to stick their noses where they don't belong.
This is why we would like to move out, to relieve some stress from the home life.

I'm sorry I mis-read your letter.Well inlaws will do that, get into your buisness. I would set some goal for the future. Since its a temporary situation living with with parents, just hand in there.
