Is it okay for one spouse to have friends of the opposite sex that the other spouse doesn't know about? What is your opinion?

My husband has had many female friends that he emails and calls secretly. When I confront him about the emails I find he says that there is nothing going on. He is always defensive when we talk about this subject. I love my husband and I know I have neglected some of his emotional needs. The emails that I have come across are sometimes sexual in nature. Usually lots of dirty talk. I am afraid that this can lead to actions and not just talk. I don't know if it has gone any farther than just talk.

Please help me.

you need to move this to the emotional needs board.

sometimes it is even bad to have the same sex friends that don't have the same values you do..
