I've been married for 1 1/2 years and my husband and I are very happy and enjoy spending time together. The problem is that we can't seem to meet other couples who feel the same way. Our friends (married and single)only contact us when they want to have a "girls night out or boys night out". Most of them are in unhappy relationships and continually criticize our values, beliefs, and ideals about marriage. We realize that we don't want these relationships anymore. Our problem is that we don't know how or where to meet other "healthy" couples. And we're not sure that giving up on our current frienships is the right thing to do. Should we accept them for who they are or move on?? We'd appreciate any advice you have to offer about meeting couples and sustaining frienships (or giving them up).
