Hi All,
Well, just a little update. After speaking with my attorney I found out that H has to give me all the info of where he will be with the kids. Otherwise, they do not have to go with him.
A couple of nights ago he told me he had his own place and would not give me the address and said he didn't have a telephone number. Tonight when he arrived to pick up the kids, I requested the address and telephone number. He said he was taking them to a hotel as the person he was staying with had company. Hmmmm....my..my...how the story changes. So, I told him to go get the hotel and bring me the address and telephone number and he could have the kids. Boy, did that one ever make him crazy!!! He tried to call his attorney on his cell phone and he wasn't in. He finally said "FINE, but I'm bringing the kids home late on Sunday." I said, "do what you must, but I will report it to my attorney on Monday." He went and got the hotel and came back to pick up the kids. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] Needless to say, he is so angry with me, but I really don't care. I'm just tired of my H's "I'm going to get my way and I'll prove it to you attitude." So, I guess I felt as though I needed to put him in his place.
I was dressed very nice when he came over. When he left, he made a comment to the kids about saying that they had to go as it was obvious that their mother had plans since she was all dressed up. I didn't say a word. That just told me that it bothers him that I have a life other than him. Just feeling pretty good right now. I didn't think I'd ever feel good about this divorce, but it is getting better.
Tulip

Tulip,
I hope you have a good weekend! And I hope that your children have agood time with their father as well.
As far as the phone number etc....I do not know how old your children are or much of your story, but when H moved out, I asked him for his phone number (still do not have his address 14 months later, but know the area he lives in!).
H told me "i am not giving it to you" I explained quietly that I needed it in case there was an emergency with one of the kids and I would then need to get hold of him. His answer was, " drive down ______street and d (12 at the time ) knows where it is and she will show you!" I explained if it was an emergency, the last thing I would be doing was driving around looking for his place....he did not "get this" and took a week before giving me the phone number!
They really are in fantasy land and are so out of control that they lose so much reason and sanity. It is really like dealing with adolescents and I have 4 genuine ones!!!!

Gina,
Thanks for the support!!! [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]

Jim,
So far I have been pretty lucky as far as being able to control some of my H's crazy actions. In Alabama the courts are still pretty conservative so that helps some. I just hope I make it through this divorce with the same luck!
I sure hope that the courts get better with your situation. It is so sad when the courts condone the crazy behavior our spouses exhibit. Good Luck and take care.

Willbok,
My children are 3 & 8. I have a really good attorney, so I just call her up and let her know what he is pulling this time. If she feels he is in the wrong then she takes care of it or tells me how to handle it. I don't know what I would do without her help!
I still can't understand not wanting the other parent to know where the kids will be, etc. Your not kidding about them being in fantasy land. I just wish fantast land would come to a sudden halt! Oh well, I'm sure it will some day! I hope your H finally realizes the necessity or your knowing where he lives. Take care and have a great weekend!
Tulip
