My H dropped off the kids earlier and was extremely nice. After Friday's incident I expected him to be a total a$$****.
I told him Friday that I would appreciate that the kids clothes be washed before returning them. Of course, I was referring to the fact that he had a washer/dryer in his apartment before he moved out. Well, he returned the kids all with clean clothes while staying in a hotel. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
He stayed around chatting for about 45 minutes. And even thanked me for being cordial to him. Wow! I was suprised.
The change in attitude from day to day just amazes me. I'm just taking this for what it is...he was nice...nothing more. It just seems when I come down hard on him he changes for the better. Maybe I should stick with this technique [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]

Tulip,
Maybe you're getting somewhere.I think there must be something between plan A and plan B.Not losing all contact, but not loving so much, either.Sort of a tough(but not too tough)love.Perhaps this is what you're doing?Maybe your H is going through a rebellious, adolescent stage right now,and needs some reckoning with.Keep it up,and see what happens. --Murph

Hi Murph,
Yes, my H is going through a rebellious/adolecent stage. Sometimes I wonder if he will ever grow up! Actually, it was not planned to be "tough" on him, but I have to protect my kids and myself.
It made him angry when I told him I wanted no further contact with him, and it makes him angry if I push for reconcilation. Who knows what will really get to them, but this seems to be working. Btw, any new updates on your wife? Take care.
Tulip
