People so readily accept divorce anymore. My d had a friend stay overnight the other nite at my x's. I don't know if om was there or not.
I guess the girl's parents don't mind their daughter staying overnight at two adulter's house. I guess I should be happpy that my daughter isn't being shunned, but why expose you child to that. While they know my x they don't know the om. I wonder if I should tell them that he may be bipolar and may have guns! That scares me!!
On the other hand, my s has a friend that lives close by and they said to me that they didn't think they would let their son stay over night as one, they don't know om and two they don't believe in unmarried people (at least my x is unmarried, no sure about om)living together.
I wonder what x will have to say about that.

I agree that divorce is too accepted today. I had it put in my final divorce papers that my kids cannot visit their father overnight if he has a female "staying over" with him. Amazingly, he agreed to this. Hmmmm...Maybe he has tired of the bimbo because I know she wouldn't leave just for my kids. Oh well, wishful thinking [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] Anyway, I have to follow the same rule, but that is no problem for me as I was not the one living with someone else while I was married.
Your s's friend's parents (hmmm...did I get that right?) seem to have their heads screwed on right. I couldn't agree more with their feelings. I don't feel children should be subjected to these OP for the sake of the parent's sexual desires. As a matter a fact, I don't intend to bring anyone around my kids until I am sure it is serious.
As far as the bipolar and gun thing, I wouldn't mention the bipolar issue since you don't know for sure. The guns are another issue though. If you know these people well enough you might bring it up as I would want to know that there were guns at a house my kids were staying at. This one hits close to home as my x is into guns bigtime! He likes to keep them loaded and carries one everywhere he goes. This makes me crazy. I'm not against guns but I do believe they should only belong to responsible people. My x is not a responsible person.
Take care,
Tulip

Unfortunetly, I do know about the bipolar as she told me and her best friend that last fall. I don't know for sure about the guns except through stories she told me, om said "he almost shot himself cleaning his gun." X also took our s to a gun show and had been to one with om before that.
