OK, I have been dating someone now for a few months. I have known him over 12 yrs, he has been divorced after a 27 yr marriage for three years.
His X ( she wanted the divorce) is off the deep end. He had dated a friend of mine for a year and the X used to call her and harrass her!
Yesterday, my 14 yr old son got a phone call from you know who. She proceeded to tell him that we had been having an affair for years! And that my friend was abusive and just wanted to warn my son! She also wanted my X's phone # to tell him what had been going on for all these years! (which is a total bunch of baloney)
I am going to block her # from calling my house. I will not respond to her because she is obviously wacko! Do you think I should do anything else?? My friend feels very bad about all of this. He talked to my son, had his son talk to my son and I think he is ok.

Ladies ( and guys, too)....lets remember that our words are venom, be sure to think before speaking and not let our emotions get the best of us. It is so easy to get cought up in the revenge thing. We need to rise above it for our own dignity.

------------------
Susan

Susan,
I don't know if there is really anything you can do at this point unless she starts telling lies about you or trying to verbally or physically attack you in public. At that point there are things you can do, although if she's that nuts, it might not do any good. I'm sorry she's putting you through this. I hope your son is mature enough to understand the stupid actions of "so-called" adults.

------------------
Blessed be.
****************
Keridwen
Keridwen_7@yahoo.com

Sue,
Sorry to hear this happened to you and most importantly your son.
I would let it go if I were you, any response from you will probably only egg her on. If she does it again call the authorities and alert them that she is harrassing you. You may want to record anything coing in from her.
Bob

ugh...and there i was contemplating telling H's older daughter (who's my age), that this would be the last mother's day she'd get to congratulate me on, that next year it'll be OW, who's just daddy's "work friend", and they email jokes to each other all the time.
i didn't. i would never hurt that girl, her dad is just a wacko and she loves him anyway.
ive had to bite my tongue a lot, though, as he has been claiming to be single for a LONG time.

Thanks, all for responding....
You know, this issue just raised a lot of thought in me about how difficult divorce is for all, especially the kids. My friend, Jim is very upset by all of it, and I know it is not his fault.
But it does bring to mind how if my X would have wanted to work on the marriage, my son would not have to put up with this. Divorce is such an ugly thing.
------------------
Susan
