I posted on the other site....started reading this book that I have had for a while....It is called DUMPED. I would suggest it to anyone who has had a spouse leave them. It is really good.
They say that someone said that it takes 1 year for every 2 years you have been together to get over your pain.
That the feelings that we are having are completely normal and that is nice to hear since we are all "crazed" in the eye of the betrayer.

Mental,
Bought that one. That was one of those that when you are buying it at B & N, you hope you don't run into anyone you know or hope that the guy behind the counter is illiterate or something.
I have a whole library of self-help books that really did help me get through my sad and hurt phase. I boxed them all up when I started seeing someone serioulsy, I don't want to look too jaded. I just recently donated many of them too a book sale. I find that as my depression lifted I wanted to pursue funner activities, like tennis and swimming and reading books that are all fiction and escape. I knew that I was healing when I started ready for fun. Unfortunately you self esteem gets so damaged when you are "dumped" and you just want to fix it so you tend to look at how to books. Hope you are reading for fun too.
Gerri

Limerick,
I have had the book for almost a year. Kind of funny....couldn't pick it up to read at first because it hurt too bad. Now I can read it and say OOOHHH...is that why.
For the most part my depression has really lifted. Still have some bad days....but am doing really good.
Yes I still read for the fun of it.....I love the Star and Enquirer LOL.
