Today is my 58th birthday and I have now been divorced since May 1. He didn't have the nerve to call me. I read that the divorce was granted in the newspaper. However, I took it lightly. I happened to glance at the paper while I was in my classroom. Later that day, I found a copy of the decree in my mailbox.
I must say that he is treating me much better since the divorce is over. Isn't that strange. He even called once when I was outside talking to friends. I found the number on my caller ID and called him and asked him what he wanted. He said "Nothing. I just wanted to see how you were." At that time, my friend was trying to get my new lawn mower started so I was rather casual.
Thursday evening I got locked out of my house at 11:00 PM and had to call and see if he had a spare key which he did not. He did, however, came on over and showed concern. I can't understand why I didn't get this kind of understanding when I was married to him.
I want to tell NSR that I'm keeping him in my thoughts. No human should have to go through that kind of treatment.
God bless you all who are here.
Martha
