Got back from sunny and hot Fl today. This had to be the best vacation I ever have been on.<P>We did all the parks except Universal Studios. We also went to the beach one day and went jet skiing another. My kids had a blast and I'm sure lots of memories.<P>Only down time for me were realizing how hard it is to be responsible for the kids 24/7. I never just a break to my self. Also the first day realizing that this should have been a family vacation. But I soon thought about reality, that my x would have hated the weather, it was hot, she would have hated the lines(they weren't bad)and hated the rides, she wouldn't have ridden anything. Only thing she would have liked was the beach, and maybe the lake were we jet skied, she wouldn't have like the food as we got fried chicken.<P>So in truth she wouldn't have liked too much!<P>The kids also dropped a bombshell on me. They said they wanted to start spending more time with their mother. They said like maybe a week every month or two(my d added not until x gets a computer though!). I told them that would be up to them as much as I didn't want too. That kind of shook me up. <P>But I didn't let that spoil our great time !<P>Bob

hey, good for you! im glad you guys had fun <BR>i glad you were understanding about your kids wanting to be with their mom more. i know it's ugly, but it is good for them to have a good relationship with her.<BR>gee, i didn't need to hear that near-teenagers are still tough to be 100% responsible for...i was secretly hoping my angels would be self-sufficient at, say, age 4...

Bob,<BR> Glad to hear you had a good time.You know,I went down there with my sis and her two kids last year after W had moved out..My stbx and I were there in '96 on our 20th.But I think I had more fun with my niece and nephew than the last time I was there with the W.She was really hitting her cranky stage at that point,and complained a lot.The kids(teenagers) and I hit all the rides and had a great time.<BR> It also reminded me of when we went down there in'85.That was the W that I really loved,and we had a great time.What a difference between then and'96.Funny how time changes people.<P> --Murph

Hi RWD -<P>Wow, sounds like a great vacation!!!<BR>I have never had the chance to jet ski yet....I've snow mobiled (of course they wouldn't let me drive it - only be a passenger!!) For some reason they were afraid to let me ride it myself. I don't know why.....I wouldn't go too fast. How fast can they go anyway? 40, 50? I don't know!!! LOL!!!!<P>Anyhoo.....sounds like you all had a blast!!! <P>Don't think too much on what the kids said - it's a good thing that they want to spend time with her.
