Well, today I went to a wedding. I thought it might be really hard, but I have to say that it wasn't. It was really beautiful and made me remember all the things I thought a marriage should be. The couple not only promised to love, honor, and trust, but also specifically to remain faithful in good times and bad. they specifically promised that to each other and to God. I thought that was wonderful. I cried, for their happiness and also for the dream that I had lost I think, but I am okay. No depression. No being wrapped up in my own drama. Just joy for their new beginning.
My anniversary is also here. June- the month for weddings! No drama there either. I was worried about how it would be. The weeks approaching it were filled with dread. I've seen the hurt from people here who have had a hard time with it, but it was just another day. Yes, I remembered the day we were married, but it seemed a long time ago and like it happened to someone else. Today is different.
Anyway, I guess I just wanted to share these milestone. I am getting stronger every day and things that might test me have so far been no big deal. I wanted to share this to give those in my shoes some courage to keep going. It doesn't hurt forever. It does get better. There *is* a light at the end of the tunnel and life after divorce.

well, my anniversary is 12-31. that COULD be bad, but since everyone is always in such a party mode that day, i think i'll always be able to find a good way to take any pain away.. my birthday is on tuesday, and im still stinging from last year when he did not call me (he was with ow) in the morning, or come to my party in the pm, but several really good friends threw a party, and it was an excuse for cake and champagne, so it was at least a good way to find i had true friends.
one of my best friends just got married, and i feel such joy for her still. it is nice that i cannot even PICTURE either of them hurting the other. gives me a real sense of hope...
