Wow! It seem like most of these affairs have been going on for quite some time!
Rcoaster,
My ex has acted like he wanted to try and work things out on about 4 different occasions. However, he was living with or still with bimbo the whole time. Sometimes I wonder why he even talked about it.
I filed for divorce a couple of months after he walked out since he offered no help financially or otherwise. As far as I was concerned it was pure abandonment.

I really should get to sleep - something I haven't been doing lately. I feel like I'm right back at the beginning of all this now because I'm at the 1-year mark where everything starts becoming an "anniversary".
My STBX moved to this state in 5/99, I moved here in 8/99. D day 10/99. Believe he was seeing her before I got here but don't really know when it started - and since he is incapable of the truth, I don't believe the date he gave me. So it's a little over a year now. He still lies to everyone about her, tells his mother he's not with anyone now (he just got back from vacation with her!).
I see them getting married within weeks of our divorce. Worried about my children being with this wretched excuse of a woman. Off the subject (like I usually am), dad came to give son birthday presents tonight (he's only a week late) and when I came in the house, Ben asked me, "Can Dad sleep over tonight?" My heart broke all over again and I've been crying ever since.
Need that sleep now and probably some Tylenol PM's for help.

------------------

Kathy

Kathy:
Sorry to hear about how depressed you are regarding your son's comment. My daughter who is 6 also says things like that now and then and it breaks my heart. It is so hard to witness the affect of the divorce on the children.

Read back my own post. Wretched Excuse of a Woman - WEW - I think I'll use that from now on instead of OW.
Thank you 711. I'm sinking back down again and fighting to come back up and I seem to be having a little trouble this time. Ben just turned 5 and has never seen a babysitter let alone daycare, so I look into his near future with a broken heart. He always gets to me with his innocence.
I tend to agree with Rizz. I don't think these affairs usually end. My mother was a WEW who broke up someone else's marriage, and she's still married to the guy 14 years later. I think my STBX HAS finally found happiness, only he had to stomp on 3 people to get there but what does that matter to a man with no conscious? Will he cheat on her? I don't know, he cheated on me many times for the duration of our marriage. But they are two of a kind, so they might be good for eachother and maybe become swingers or something.
I feel really in a sarcastic, cynical mood right now and I don't like it. I'm going to go wrestle with my boys I think (and let them beat me up).
------------------

Kathy
